From a joint statement by the Sacramento franchise and the NBA announcing an investigation into sexual assault allegations against new Kings coach Luke Walton. Former sports reporter Kelli Tennant alleged in a lawsuit filed Tuesday that Walton assaulted her in a California hotel room when he was an assistant coach with the Warriors in 2014. Walton, previously head coach of the Lakers, has denied the claims through his attorney, Mark D. Baute. The Kings said they hired lawyers from Sacramento firm Van Dermyden Maddux while NBA senior vice president and assistant general counsel Elizabeth Maringer will represent the league.
