EDGEWELL TO PAY $1.37B FOR SHAVING STARTUP HARRY’S
Edgewell Personal Care, which owns Schick razor and other brands, announced Thursday that it is buying shaving startup Harry’s in a $1.37 billion deal. About 79% of the deal is cash and the rest is stock, Edgewell said in a news release. The companies said the deal is expected to be completed by the end of the first quarter in 2020. Shoppers can purchase Harry’s products through monthly subscriptions or online for up to $20 for a razor.
