Bed Bath & Beyond CEO Steven Temares stepped down as CEO and resigned his post on the company’s board, effective immediately Monday. Mary Winston, a member of the board, was named interim CEO. Activist investors had sought Temares’ ouster. The New Jersey-based home goods retailer plans to close about 40 stores and open 15 new ones in fiscal 2019.
