Honoring a life of service
Loved ones and colleagues pay their respects as the casket of Rep. Elijah Cummings is carried into the Capitol on Thursday to lie in state. The 23-year congressman from Maryland, who died Oct. 17 at 68, is one of the few African Americans to be so honored. His funeral will be Friday in Baltimore.
