Death of al-Baghdadi is not end of ISIS

- LETTERS LETTERS@USATODAY.COM

Please don’t think for a moment that because Islamic State leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi is dead, ISIS is no longer a threat. Leaders are not oblivious to the possibility of their demise. And no doubt, someone has been groomed to take over.

For President Donald Trump to say that al-Baghdadi died while whimpering, crying and screaming is simply undignified. Trump loves to embellish. By doing so, he no doubt makes himself feel larger than life.

But in this attempt to appear presidential, he looked and sounded far from it.

The only way Trump knows how to build himself up is by tearing others down, which is why he stated that the takedown of al-Baghdadi was bigger than that of Osama bin Laden — a dig at President Barack Obama.

How juvenile. Joann Lee Frank Clearwater, Fla.
