MLB umpires, the best of any major sport, according to a new Seton Hall Sports Poll, conducted last week among 703 adult Americans across the country (margin of error of +/-3.8%). Among pro sports, NBA officials were next at 49%, followed by NFL at 48% and NHL at 44%. College football was 53% and basketball 48%.
