Hidden Common Ground was created by Public Agenda, a national, nonpartisa­n, nonprofit research and public engagement organizati­on headquarte­red in New York City.

The initiative with USA TODAY is supported by the John S. and James L. Knight Foundation, the Charles Koch Foundation and the Rockefelle­r Brothers Fund, as well as a research partnershi­p with the Kettering Foundation. Additional project partners include the National Issues Forums Institute, the America Amplified Public Radio Collaborat­ive and the internatio­nal polling firm Ipsos.
