1. “Camino Winds” by John Grisham (Doubleday, fiction, on sale April 28)

What it’s about: A hurricane rips through Camino Island, leaving popular thriller writer Nelson Kerr dead in its wake. Only his injuries look suspicious­ly like murder. Nelson’s bookseller friend, Bruce Cable, is on the case.

The buzz: “Readers will hope to return soon to this appealing vacation hot spot,” says Publishers Weekly.

2. “Warhol” by Blake Gopnik (Ecco, nonfiction, on sale April 28)

What it’s about: Clocking in at nearly 1,000 pages, this massive tome aims to be the definitive biography of artist Andy Warhol.

The buzz: “A fascinatin­g, major work that will spark endless debates,” says a starred review in Kirkus Reviews.

3. “The Talented Mr. Varg” by Alexander McCall Smith (Pantheon, fiction, on sale April 28)

What it’s about: Detective Ulf Varg and the other members of Sweden’s Department of Sensitive Crimes are on the case when the girlfriend of an infamous bad-boy author insists he’s being blackmaile­d. What skeletons hide in his closet?

4. “Take Me Apart” by Sara Sligar (Farrar, Straus and Giroux, fiction, on sale April 28)

What it’s about: Decades after famed photograph­er Miranda Brand’s death, ex-journalist Kate Aitken is hired to archive her works. As she sorts through the dead artist’s personal effects, curiosity transforms into a dangerous obsession in this twisting psychologi­cal thriller.

5. “Wisdom From a Humble Jellyfish: And Other Self-Care Rituals

from Nature” by Rani Shah (Dey Street, nonfiction, on sale April 28)

What it’s about: Learn some gentle lessons about living in balance from plants and animals, including the jellyfish, one of nature’s most energy-efficient creatures, prone to taking lots of breaks.
