The death of Capitol Police Officer Brian Sicknick in the Jan. 6 riot remains under investigation. The Associated Press, relying on unnamed sources, and some other news outlets have reported he may have been struck in the head by a fire extinguisher. Several USA TODAY stories have cited those reports, but no official cause of death has been released. The Capitol Police have said, to this point, only that he died “due to injuries sustained while on duty” during the riots.
A photo Wednesday on Page 1A showed a COVID-19 mobile testing clinic by the Community-University Health Care Center in Minneapolis in September. The caption incorrectly described the type of clinic.
