HIGHLIGHT: MICHIGAN

-

Detroit: One of COVID-19’s latest casualties: a statue of RoboCop. The Michigan Science Center will no longer be the permanent home for the eagerly awaited, grassroots-driven work of art. In a statement, the museum said that “given the pandemic’s unprecedented pressures, MiSci’s resources must now be entirely focused on our core mission of serving Michigan’s students and families.” “It’s all assembled and put together,” with application of the final patina underway, said Brandon Walley, a filmmaker and key part of the quest to make the RoboCop dream a reality. “He will need a home, and we’re exploring possibilities.”
