‘COPS’ IS BACK ON THE BEAT

-

“Cops” has found a new home. More than a year after Paramount Network canceled the unscripted series that follows the activities of real-life police officers with documentary-style cameras, Fox Nation announced Monday it will stream the show’s 33rd season starting Oct. 1. “Cops” premiered in 1989 on Fox, where it aired for 25 seasons, then moved to Spike, which relaunched as Paramount Network in 2018. The series was canceled in the wake of the death of George Floyd, a Black man who was killed by a white police officer, and the Black Lives Matter protests that followed.
