GUMMY CANDIES RECALLED OVER METAL STRAND RISK
Mars Wrigley is voluntarily recalling several gummy candies of Starbursts, Skittles and Life Savers as bags potentially have a very thin metal strand inside or embedded in the candy. The recall was announced Friday after Mars Wrigley said they received reports from consumers about the thin metal strands in packages. No illnesses or injuries have been reported to Mars Wrigley or the Food and Drug Administration. Five kinds of Starbursts Gummies, five Skittles Gummies and three Life Saver Gummies are being recalled. Mars Wrigley said the products were manufactured by a third party and distributed across the United States, Canada and Mexico.
