It took a little more than two years to pass the threshold – two years that saw us shut down and open back up, discover treatments and develop vaccines, normalize isolation and cope with loss. ● Through all of it, the virus has continued to take its toll. ● It tore through nursing homes and changed the way we go to school. It claimed the lives of Americans young and old. ● They were teachers, students, doctors, lawmakers, farmers and artists. They were friends and family.
