Lenny Oberholzer
Husband, father, grandfather Age: 65
Lenny Oberholzer wasn’t famous, nor was he infamous.
He lived a life like many of us: quiet, hopeful, thoughtful of others. He married a woman to whom he was devoted, raised two boys he loved and cherished days with his granddaughters.
Lenny’s story is like so many others. He wore a mask. So did his wife, Jen, but she didn’t like mask mandates. She tested positive for the coronavirus at work. She recovered. He did not.
Jen couldn’t watch as the breathing apparatus was removed at the hospital because it was too painful for her. He was her love, her best friend, the man who fixed and repaired, the father whose words of pride hung in his children’s hearts, and the man with whom she had spent 37 of her 61 years.
She said, “He taught me how to love.” Lenny died Dec. 20, 2020. He was 65.
