Parton, Duran Duran, others join Rock Hall

-

A diverse class of musicians including country music legend Dolly Parton and rapper Eminem was inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Saturday in Los Angeles. “I guess I’m a rock star now,” said Parton, who initially asked the Rock Hall to withdraw her nomination because she hadn’t earned the right. The other inductees in the 2022 class were Lionel Richie, Duran Duran, Judas Priest, Pat Benatar, Carly Simon and the Eurythmics. Original Duran Duran guitarist Andy Taylor did not attend, revealing in a letter read by lead singer Simon Le Bon that he has Stage 4 cancer.
