HOW WAS YOUR DAY? SNOOP DOGG

-

The D-O-Double-G is getting the biopic treatment. Universal Pictures announced it is developing a film to bring Snoop Dogg’s life story to the big screen. “Finally,” the 51-year-old rapper tweeted Wednesday afternoon with emojis of fire and a fist bump. The film will be written by Joe Robert Cole, who co-wrote the “Black Panther” films, and directed by “Menace II Society” filmmaker Allen Hughes. “I waited a long time to put this project together because I wanted to choose the right director, the perfect writer, and the greatest movie company I could partner with that could understand the legacy that I’m trying to portray on screen, and the memory I’m trying to leave behind,” Snoop, whose birth name is Calvin Cordozar Broadus Jr., said in a statement. “It was the perfect marriage. It was holy matrimony, not holy macaroni.”
