Christina Applegate became the latest celebrity to get a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame on Monday, delivering an emotional speech during her first public appearance since being diagnosed with multiple sclerosis last year. Barefoot and using a cane to support herself, Applegate expressed gratitude to those closest to her. “I can’t stand for too long, so I’m going to thank the people that I really need to thank,” Applegate said. “First of all, to my family who have spoken here today. You are my everything ... I don’t say that I have friends. I have family. These people take care of me. They take care of me every day of my life and without them I don’t know what I would do.”
