THANKSGIVING DAY GAMES

- – NFL Team Wires

Bills (7-3) at Lions (4-6)

TV: 12:30 p.m. ET Thursday, CBS

Tipico Sportsbook line: Bills by 8 1 ⁄2

Buffalo’s offense needs to get back to converting drives into touchdowns. K Tyler Bass is good, but he’s ending too many Buffalo drives with field goals – nine in the last two games – instead of QB Josh Allen, WR Stefon Diggs and the offense cashing in. Detroit is on its first three-game winning streak since 2017. To make it four, the Lions need to grind out long drives riding the strong running of RB Jamaal Williams, the NFL’s leader in rushing TDs.

Giants (7-3) at Cowboys (7-3)

TV: 4:30 p.m. ET Thursday, Fox

Tipico Sportsbook line: Cowboys by 8

The Giants will need a much better ground performance out of RB Saquon Barkley and the running game, which managed just 39 yards on 19 carries aside from runs by QB Daniel Jones in the loss to Detroit. Dallas needs to mirror its game plan from the Week 3 win over New York: Pound the Giants defense with the two-headed rushing attack of RBs Tony Pollard and Ezekiel Elliott, who combined for 178 ground yards in that win.

Patriots (6-4) at Vikings (8-2)

TV: 8:20 p.m. ET Thursday, NBC, Telemundo Tipico Sportsbook line: Vikings by 3

The Patriots have an opportunity to maximize their short passing game against a Vikings defense that is bend-butdon’t-break. On defense, Matthew Judon has himself quite a battle against Vikings tackles Christian Darrisaw and Brian O’Neill, and a successful day from the league leader in sacks could propel the Patriots to a win. The Vikings haven’t beaten the Patriots since 2000 but Minnesota has beaten half of the AFC East this season, and most of that is on the back of WR Justin Jefferson. The addition of TE T.J. Hockenson has been a major factor in the improvements in the downfield passing game the last couple of weeks.
