Elton John bids goodbye to America
Elton John closed out his final tour in North America on Sunday with a concert at Los Angeles’ Dodger Stadium, where it all began in 1975 with his breakout U.S. stadium concerts. “You made me,” the 75-year-old told the crowd. “Without America, I wouldn’t be here.” The concert included numbers with Brandi Carlile, Kiki Dee and Dua Lipa. John, who is retiring after he finishes the Farewell Yellow Brick Road tour abroad next year, ended the show with his classic “Goodbye Yellow Brick Road” and the parting words, “Be kind to each other. And farewell.”
