Metallica announces M72 tour for 2023-24, plans album release

Metallica plans to storm the world for two years with its massive M72 tour. The veteran hard rockers will launch the tour April 27 in Amsterdam, with the band’s first U.S. show Aug. 4 in New Jersey. The 2023-24 tour will cross Europe, the U.S., South America and Mexico, hitting each city for two nights with two set lists. To complement the tour, Metallica will unveil its 12th studio album, “72 Seasons,” on April 14.
