Mauna Loa erupts
Onlookers like Ingrid Yang, left, and Kelly Bruno, both of San Diego, flocked to see Hawaii's Mauna Loa after it erupted Sunday for the first time in 38 years. The eruption of the world’s largest active volcano wasn’t endangering towns, but residents were warned to be ready to evacuate.
