NFL WEEK 14 PREVIEW

- – Richard Morin, USA TODAY

Jets (7-5) at Bills (9-3)

TV: 1 p.m. ET Sunday, CBS

Tipico Sportsbook line: Bills by 9 1⁄2

Can Mike White and the Jets complete a season sweep of Josh Allen’s Bills? The Bills, in addition to trying to win the AFC East and the conference’s top seed, don’t want to lose the head-to-head tiebreaker to the Jets. Meanwhile, the Jets know it’ll be a tough road to make the playoffs, and a win in Buffalo would go a long way.

Browns (5-7) at Bengals (8-4)

TV: 1 p.m. ET Sunday, CBS

Tipico Sportsbook line: Bengals by 6

The Battle of Ohio writes its next chapter when Deshaun Watson and the Browns make the short trip to Cincinnati for a matchup with Joe Burrow’s Bengals. On the heels of their biggest win of the season, a Week 13 victory over the Chiefs, can the Bengals keep their momentum? Although it looked ugly at times, Cleveland took home a win in its first game with Watson at quarterback.

Texans (1-10-1) at Cowboys (9-3)

TV: 1 p.m. ET Sunday, Fox Tipico Sportsbook line: Cowboys by 17

The Battle of Texas takes center stage when Dameon Pierce and the Texans make the trip to Dallas to face Dak Prescott and the Cowboys. Houston hasn’t been able to muster much on offense behind QB Kyle Allen, so Lovie Smith will go back to Davis Mills. The Cowboys are rolling and have an outside shot at the NFC’s No. 1 seed.

Vikings (10-2) at Lions (5-7)

TV: 1 p.m. ET Sunday, Fox

Tipico Sportsbook line: Lions by 2

Justin Jefferson’s Vikings still have a shot at the No. 1 seed in the NFC playoffs but face a tough test in Dan Campbell’s Lions. In an NFC North showdown, can Jared Goff and the Lions pull off the win at home? Will rookie Jameson Williams, who debuted last week after a torn ACL in college, be their secret weapon?

Eagles (11-1) at Giants (7-4-1)

TV: 1 p.m. ET Sunday, Fox

Tipico Sportsbook line: Eagles by 7

As impressive as Saquon Barkley’s Giants have been, Jalen Hurts and the Eagles are running away with the NFC East. Still, coach Brian Dabol’s Giants have been anything but an easy out, especially at home (4-2). Can Daniel Jones and Co. do enough to outpace the Eagles? Or will Hurts and A.J. Brown keep the Eagles’ momentum rolling en route to a win?

Ravens (8-4) at Steelers (5-7)

TV: 1 p.m. ET Sunday, CBS

Tipico Sportsook line: Steelers by 2 1⁄2

Kenny Pickett and the Steelers have treaded water for much of the season, but can they hold off coach John Harbaugh’s Ravens in an AFC North matchup? Can Pickett, Najee Harris and George Pickens muster enough offense to outpace Baltimore, which will be without QB Lamar Jackson? Will T.J. Watt conjure up a nightmare for the Ravens’ line?

Jaguars (4-8) at Titans (7-5)

TV: 1 p.m. ET Sunday, CBS

Tipico Sportsbook line: Titans by 4

Derrick Henry and the Titans are running away with the AFC South, but can Trevor Lawrence and the Jaguars pull off an upset in Nashville? The Jaguars are coming off a Week 13 loss and hoping to build momentum through the end of the season. Henry, Ryan Tannehill and Co. are looking to increase their seeding in the AFC playoff picture.

Chiefs (9-3) at Broncos (3-9)

TV: 4:05 p.m. ET Sunday, CBS

Tipico Sportsbook line: Chiefs by 9 1⁄2

The Broncos may have the NFL’s most broken offense, and things don’t get any easier when they host Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs, who will be looking to take down somebody after their Week 13 loss to the Bengals, and the Broncos look like a good target on paper. However, the Denver defense is still one of the most formidable in the NFL and shouldn’t be taken lightly.

Bucs (6-6) at 49ers (8-4)

TV: 4:25 p.m. ET Sunday, Fox Tipico Sportsbook line: 49ers by 3 1⁄2

In perhaps the most anticipated, and most unpredictable, game on the slate, third-string QB Brock Purdy leads the 49ers against Tom Brady’s Buccaneers. Purdy is taking over for injured Jimmy Garoppolo, who took over for Trey Lance, who is out for the season with an injury. Can last year’s Mr. Irrelevant lead San Francisco past Tampa Bay, which is desperately trying to hold onto the NFC South lead?

Panthers (4-8) at Seahawks (7-5)

TV: 4:25 p.m. ET Sunday, Fox

Tipico Sportsbook line: Seahawks by 4

Geno Smith and the Seahawks look to continue their unlikely quest for a postseason berth when they host D.J. Moore and the Panthers. Carolina is fighting for the playoffs due to a subpar NFC South.

Dolphins (8-4) at Chargers (6-6)

TV: 8:20 p.m. ET Sunday, NBC

Tipico Sportsbook line: Dolphins by 3 1⁄2

Two explosive offenses go head-to-head in prime time when Tua Tagovailoa and the Dolphins square up with Justin Herbert and the Chargers. Tagovailoa suffered an ankle injury in a Week 13 loss but is expected to start against Los Angeles, which needs to string wins together down the stretch to contend for an AFC playoff spot. Can Herbert, Austin Ekeler, Keenan Allen and Co. do enough to outpace Tagovailoa, Jaylen Waddle and Tyreek Hill?

Patriots (6-6) at Cardinals (4-8)

TV: 8:15 p.m. ET Monday, ESPN

Tipico Sportsbook line: Patriots by 2 1⁄2

Kyler Murray and the Cardinals come off their bye week to host Bill Belichick’s Patriots. The Cardinals are still searching for their identity in what has been a difficult season for Kliff Kingsbury’s squad. Meanwhile, the Patriots are having serious problems on offense, hindering their playoff-level defense.
