BC United Way: Did You Know???

- By TR Staff treditor@times-online.com

Do you know someone who has ever needed help? Maybe they were in an abusive relationship or couldn’t afford food for the month. Or maybe their children wanted to join scouts or enjoy milk with the other kids at school but there was just no money for these things.

Barnes County United Way works year around to raise funds, which are given back to several nonprofit organizations in the Barnes County area. Those organizations that are supported are the Abused Persons Outreach Center, American Red Cross, Boys & Girls Scouts, Senior Citizens Center, the Great Plains Food Bank, Hospice, Legal Services, Senior Companions, PATH, Imagination Library, the Village Family Services, BC Library, the Milk Break Scholarship Fund and the Community School of the Arts.
