Grief Journeys for Adults Support Group: Hospice of the Red River Valley offers a free ongoing grief support group for adults 18 years and older who have experienced a loss through death in Valley City. The group meets the second Wednesday of each month from 2-3:30 p.m. at the Hospice of the Red River Valley office located at 1240 W. Main Street in Valley City. The group is free and open to the public.

Barnes County Commission meets the first and third Tuesday of the month at 8 a.m. at the Barnes County Courthouse.

Barnes County Social Services meets the fourth Thursday of the month at 9 a.m. at the Barnes County Courthouse, in the Commissioner’s room, on the second floor. The meeting is open to the public.

Valley City City Commission meets the first and third Tuesday of the month at 5 p.m. at City Hall. The finance meeting is held the first Tuesday of the month prior to the regular meeting.
