Artist/Illustrator Trygve Olson Stops in at VCBC Library, VCHS

Valley City Barnes County Library was excited to bring Artist and Illustrator Trygve Olson to Valley City earlier this month. Trygve comes from Moorhead, MN, and many of his political cartoons have been published on the Opinion page of the Fargo Forum.

While Trygve was in Valley City, we made a stop at Stephani Kruger and Kelly Callahan’s art class. He provided a short history lesson about previous and current illustrators, did a few drawing warm-ups, and assisted as the teens learned to draw caricatures.

Our local teens provided positive feedback and seemed enjoy themselves.

VCBC remains committed to the education, recreation, and socialization of all populations. Upcoming teen events include: Teen Advisory Board, a unique foods potluck and holiday party. In January, Dakota Krout, author and publisher, will make a stop at the library.
