*Community Thanksgivi­ng Service this year has been canceled due to the Covid-19 Nov. 14th mandate and spread throughout our area.

*Dacotah Bank Community Gift Tree is accepting gift donations for children ages infant through high school. Gift wrap your donation and label with age and for a boy or girl. Please deliver gifts to Dacotah Bank by December 18th.

*Abused Persons Outreach Center (APOC) will have a temporary change in office hours. The office will now be open from 9AM3PM, located at 160 2nd St NW, Valley City. 24 Hour Crisis hotline 701-8450072.

*Wildside Bakery sent out a message…Effective Nov. 10th we will only be offering carry out, curbside pickup or delivery due to the Covid-19 restrictio­ns imposed by the City of Valley City. *The DMV is providing title work by appointmen­t

from 9AM-11AM and 12PM-3PM. Renewals can be done via phone. If you need services outside of that time frame, please call the DMV at 701-845-3812. You can schedule appointmen­ts online at dot.nd.gov.

*Barnes County Courthouse, Barnes County Highway Department and all other County Offices will be locked due to rising Covid cases. All offices will be seeing people by appointmen­t as before when the doors were locked.

*The Drivers License Division is currently traveling to Valley City the first and third Wednesday of each month. Services are available by appointmen­t only by going online to dot. nd.gov or calling 1-855633-6835.

*Valley City Mass COVID-19 Testing: City County Health District will be conducting Mass testing from 1-2 pm on Monday’s in the Winter Show Parking Lot. Call City County Health at 701-845-8518 with questions or for more informatio­n.

*AA Fellowship Corner Meeting Schedule: Monday 8 p.m., Tuesday 6 p.m., Wednesday noon, Friday noon, Saturday 8 p.m. For more informatio­n call 701845-3705. The meetings are held at 320 2nd Ave SE in Valley City.

ber 23rd: Puklich Chevrolet Buick GMC in Valley City are asking for your help to “Drive Away Hunger”. Now through Monday, November 23rd, just drop off any non-perishable food item at Puklich Chevrolet Buick GMC, located at 721 West Main Street. All donations will go to the Barnes County Food Pantry.

• November 4th-December 30th: Schwan’s truck will be available from 1-4 p.m. in the new Handy Hardware and Home Store (formerly Shopko parking lot). For questions or additional informatio­n call 701368-8751.

• Tuesday, November 17th: Valley City Eagles Club Bingo with early bird start at 7:10 p.m. and regular bingo at 7:30 p.m.

• Tuesday, November 17th: Everyone is invited to attend “What in the World Are You Reading?” by Zoom

and share a book you have been reading, or just listen. Got to vcsu-witw@vcsu. edu to request your Zoom link which you put into your computer’s search bar on Tuesday, November 17th at 7 p.m. to join the Zoom group. This event is free.

• Tuesday, November 17th: SVFA Dog Park Committee will meet at 5:30 p.m. at the Valley City Eagles Club to discuss the best ways to move forward as a group to build a second dog park.
