VC Gymnasts Post State Season High Team Score
Valley City Hi-Liner Gymnastics hosted the Valley City Invite at the Youth Sports Complex this weekend. All teams in the Eastern Dakota Conference were in attendance, but the ladies from the City of Bridges showed each one of them that they’re a force to be reckoned with.

won the meet while also setting the highest team score in the whole state up to this point in the season: 145.975.
All-Around saw Valley City take the top five spots. Senior Jocey Kriewald placed first in both Vault (9.350) and bars (9.425) while Sophomore Abbey Thornton placed first in Floor with a personal record: 9.650.
Karina Olson, also a Sophomore, topped the podium for Beam, earning a 9.325, and she also placed first in All-Around (36.850). Kriewald grabbed second place in All-Around (36.825), and Abbey Thornton placed third (36.025). Olivia Olson and Grace Undem were fourth (35.650) and fifth (34.875).
