*St. Catherine Quilters

• The Valley City-Barnes County Development Corporation will host a public presentation for city sales tax extension on Thursday, May 19th at the Vault from 11:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. The seminar will be presented by Jennifer Feist, Director of Development VCBCDC. For more information visit valleycitynd.org/salestax. The event is free and open to the public with all encouraged to attend. The Vault is located at 223 Central Ave. N in downtown Valley City.

• Jefferson Elementary Field Day will be held May 20th for K-3rd grade students.
• Grotberg Electric invites all to join them for a retirement open house on May 20th from 3-7 p.m. honoring Kevin “Sparky” Kamphuis for his 34 years of service with the company. The event will be held at the Valley City Town and Country Club.
• Barnes County Senior Center meals and activities: Pork loin, mashed potatoes, creamed peas, dinner roll, whipped JellO. Bone Builders Exercise 9:30 a.m.; bingo 1 p.m.
• Litchville-Marion Class of 2022 Graduation will be held Friday, May 20th at 7 p.m. at the school.

• Barnes County Senior Center meals and activities: Cheeseburger macaroni hotdish, lettuce salad, applesauce.
• “Team Wyatt” 5k walk/ run will be held to benefit the cause of stopping suicide among members of the armed forces Saturday, May 21st with 8:30 a.m. start at Jefferson Elementary School in Valley City. This walk/run will be a virtual to the Let’s Talk Strength 5k, being held in Mooresville, North Carolina. Donations can be made online at letstalkstrength. funraise.org, under “Team Wyatt” or cash donations can be made the day of the event at the walk/run starting point.
• The Whoever Can Come Band will be having a Jam Session at the Barnes County Museum (315 Central Ave N, Valley City) Saturday, May 21st from 1-4PM. It is free and open to all.
Sun., May 22
• Barnes County Senior Center meals and activities: Salisbury steak, mashed potatoes & gracy, carrots, spice cake.
• Barnes County North 2022 Graduation will be held on Sunday, May 22nd at 2 p.m. at the school.
Mon., May 23
• A spaghetti benefit and silent auction will be held for Carmen Yanish on Monday, May 23rd from 5-7 pm. at the Valley City Eagles Club, 345 12th Ave NE, Valley City. • Valley City Public Schools will host a second public meeting on Exploring the Future of School Facilities May 23rd, 7 p.m. at the HiLiner Activity Center. The purpose of these meetings will be to share updated information with you, our community members, regarding our preliminary new school designs, cost estimates, funding options, and existing facility needs. All are welcome and invited to attend. VCPS officals look forward to sharing information and receiving your feedback and suggestions regarding the next steps in addressing the facility needs of our school district. • VCHS Speech Team will host a spaghetti benefit on Friday, May 27th from 5-7 p.m. at the VC Eagles Club. All proceeds will assist to send students to compete at Nationals in Louisville Kentucky.
