VCHS hold food drive for local pantry
This past week, students at Valley City High School held a food drive to help give back to the local Barnes County Food Pantry. With donations coming in even while loading up the truck, members of the VCHS student council helped load up all of the donations. A good turnout of donations were given by both students from the high school, businesses, and locals in the community.
The Times Record spoke with Abby Ingstad, the Student Council Advisor, about the food drive. “The event went well, while it was a little smaller than we had originally hoped, we still had a decent turnout.”
The VCHS student council helps facilitate different fundraisers and events such as the food drive to help get students involved and giving back to the community.
VCHS would like to share a special thanks to the community members, businesses and students for giving back to those in need this holiday season and always.
