VCHS transition team honored at school board meeting

The Sheyenne Career and Technical Center’s Transition class teaches life and job skills so people can live independently. This class presented an assessment on the disability access in VCPS buildings to the school board at their monthly meeting last week, revealing several issues in need of resolution. Kalyn Botz. who coordinates the Transition class, told the T-R that this was an excellent opportunity for the students, who were able to state their findings, the need for renovations and why they are important.

“It also was a wonderful opportunity for these young men and women to practice having their voices heard in a public meeting,” Boltz said.
