Valley City Vipers Squirts start season 2-0

The Valley City Vipers Squirts opened the season last weekend by beating Mandan Red 2-1 and Fargo White 10-1.

Leading the Vipers in scoring were Brody Kalbrener with seven points (5G, 2A) and Gray Kasowski with four points (1G, 3A). Notching three points each were Riley Roelfsema (1G, 2A) and Kayson Ziemba (2G, 1A). Adding two points were Corbin Petersen (2G), Riggs Kasowski (1G, 1A) and Beck Dietrich (2A). Gavin Wiebe tallied a point with an assist. Goaltender Tyler Olsen finished with 21 and 19 saves respectively.

The Vipers will travel to Fargo next Saturday to take on Fargo A Black and Fargo A Blue. The Viper squirts are coached by Shane Kalbrener and Kyle Roelfsema
