Experience Christmas on Pearl Street, Buffalo, ND

- By Tami Olsen

In the heart of small-town Buffalo, North Dakota Christmas is a time of celebration and joy. Pearl Street becomes filled with Christmas spirit as the renovated 1916 high school building turns into the community’s central attraction. Taking guests back in time, they are able to experience that oldfashioned Christmas feeling. Many guests enjoy going for nostalgic memories from once attending the school, while others go to enjoy good food and shopping.

In 1978 the once busy schoolhouse closed down for decades until 2001 when it was repurchased and renovated. While keeping a lot of the original charm, each renovation was made with thoughtful care to the history. For people that once attended the school or had family that went there, it is a great walk down memory lane.

On Sunday, December 4th, 2022, from 11 am to 3 pm, guests are invited out for an afternoon filled with Christmas magic. Vendors and crafters from around the area will have booths set up with food, gifts, and homemade items. There will also be unique treasures available at the Olde School Gift Shoppe. A hot lunch and sweet treats will be able to be purchased as well while guests shop. This event is a great way

to support small businesses while taking in some of that old school charm.

Christmas on Pearl Street is one of the many community events held at the schoolhouse throughout the year. Meetings, reunions, and gatherings are also held there.
