rehearse every Monday night at 7 at the Epworth United Methodist Church. Rehearsal is open to all men who want to have some fun and share the gift of song. *Valley City Optimist Club Roller Skating Sunday night’s from 6-8 p.m. at the Rec Center, 140 4th St SW, Valley City. No outside roller skates or roller blades allowed. • Knights of Columbus Council 6438 presents Carnival 2023 Mardi Gras at St. Catherine School gymnasium, Sunday, Feb. 19 from 2-4 p.m. Games, face painting, concessions, cake walk, fish pond, mini-golf, plinko and corn hole. The event is a free will offering and open to the public.

• Barnes County Courthouse will be closed Monday, February 20, 2023 in observance of President’s Day. The Barnes County Sheriff’s Office and Jail will remain staffed.

• Hunter Education will meet in-person at the VCSU Rhodes Science Center on Feb. 20, 21, 23, 28 and Mar. 2 from 6-9:30 p.m., all evenings. Must attend all nights to pass the course. If you do not attend, you may lose the opportunity to enroll for a year. Students under the age of 18, please have your guardian come with for the first evening of class to sign the student registration card.
