In last week’s issue, Variety delved into Netflix’s plans to conquer family entertainment with some A-list filmmakers, including Guillermo del Toro, Glen Keane and Jorge R. Gutiérrez. Variety.com readers weighed in on the ambitious content goals.

“It’s going to be interesting, that’s for sure. But creators have to accept a certain anonymity of product. They aren’t getting released in a timeslot, but more like thrown out into the void. That’s a tough thing to accept, I should think. But hey, ‘Stranger Things’ was released that way, and look what happened. Good product will apparently always rise to the top.”
