Beverly Center Unveils Brighter, Artier Redo

- PAT SAPERSTEIN

The 36-year-old Beverly Center has finally unveiled its extensive remodel, helping bring the indoor mall in line with a 21st-century food and shopping experience. A ribbon of skylights and extensive art exhibits brightens up the interior, while a perforated steel facade turns the exterior into a shimmering landmark. Among the new offerings are the Studio Services membership program targeted to costume designers and stylists with complimentary valet, delivery service and private fitting rooms. New stores include Balenciaga and Brooks Brothers, while recently opened restaurants open to the street on the first floor include Cal Mare, Farmhouse and Yardbird. Parking has also been revamped, with two VIP valets and a smart parking system that reminds shoppers where they left their vehicles.
