The third an­nual event fo­cus­ing on di­ver­sity in en­ter­tain­ment and me­dia fea­tured key­note speeches from Eva Lon­go­ria, Barry Jenkins and Diego Luna. “In­clu­sion is about the sto­ries we’re telling, and that’s chang­ing,” Luna said, point­ing to Al­fonso Cuarón’s au­to­bi­o­graph­i­cal “Roma” as a “per­fect ex­am­ple” of some­thing to be in­spired by be­cause it’s a “very per­sonal” story about a “very spe­cific” time in Mex­ico. “It’s uni­ver­sal,” he said, “and it’s go­ing to break ev­ery­one’s hearts no mat­ter where you see it. … That to me is in­clu­sion — when we care about the sto­ries of oth­ers.”
