The annual film festival presented by Audi was decidedly scaled down this year when the Thousand Oaks shooting and the California wildfires prompted many of the studios to cancel arrival red carpets, including those for “Bird Box,” “Destroyer,” “Widows” and the closing-night film “Mary Queen of Scots.” Even so, screenings, Q&AS and after-parties still took place. In statements announcing the cancellations, studios asked the public to donate to relief organizations, including the American Red Cross and the Los Angeles Fire Department Foundation.
