Director Kathryn Bigelow puts Bevhills villa on the market
Filmmaker Kathryn Bigelow, the first woman to win an Academy Award in the director category (for “The Hurt Locker” in 2010), has her home in the mansion- dotted mountains between Beverly Hills and Studio City, up for sale at $12.9 million. The two-time Oscar-winner stands to realize an exponential profit on the property she’s owned since 1989, when she and then-husband James Cameron bought it for $1.8 million. Tax records show the parcel was transferred to Bigelow in fall 1992, the year after the dissolution of the couple’s brief marriage.
