‘Brady Bunch’ Redo Readies for Close-up

All six “Brady Bunch” siblings, along with an all-star team of HGTV renovation experts, are about to reveal the totally remodeled and restored “Brady Bunch” house in L.A.’S Studio City. HGTV is turning the makeover into a major event, kicking off the series about the process on Sept. 9 with a 90-minute premiere episode. While the street view remains the same, 2,000 square feet of space was added to the original footprint. The familiar orange-and-green kitchen was re-created, along with the kids’ rooms, family room, Greg’s attic and Alice’s bedroom, all redone with vintage furniture and decor, including many of the tchotchkes seen on the show. Ahead of the premiere, fans can enter a contest to win a trip to stay in the house — though it’s not clear who will ultimately get to live there.
