‘Into the Night’
NETFLIX’S NEW BELGIAN THRILLER has a sci-fi backdrop — a planeload of people will die unless they keep flying into the night. The classic disaster story maintains a tense pace as a group of disparate passengers and crew members must stop squabbling and work together to keep the aircraft aloft in hopes of outrunning a mysterious solar catastrophe. A sick boy and his mom bound for Russia, a grieving female military helicopter pilot and an Instagram-obsessed influencer are just some of the often-volatile personalities aboard the imperiled flight. “Narcos” and “Scandal” producer Jason George created the six-episode series.
