WWE REIGNS SUPREME FOR GLOBAL YOUTUBE SPORTS VIEWING
When it comes to monthly minutes watched on Youtube, the WWE far outstrips its domestic U.S. sports rivals — and the Olympics. Illustrating the company’s worldwide appeal, social media analytics firm Tubular Labs reports WWE had 4.3 billion minutes of content viewed on Youtube in March. Comparing official channel viewing of video highlights, interviews and archival content, the number was five times that of the NBA, the next highest sport on the list, and also put video from the UFC, ESPN, NFL and MLB on the mat. Given the global audience, it seems the “world” in World Wrestling Entertainment is appropriate.
