‘Pose’ Premiere

The premiere of the third and final season of the award-winning FX series featured the first full-fledged red carpet in more than a year. COVID tests, masks and social distancing were mandated, and the 1,000-seat Rose Theater was limited to 100 people for the screening. “If I don’t do anything else but Pray Tell,” star Billy Porter told Variety of his Emmy-winning work on the show, “I have done and said everything I’ve needed to do and say.” Angelica Ross, who plays Candy, said, “I think the legacy of ‘Pose’ is authenticity like no other. … When it comes to authentic storytelling, who you’re casting in these roles [matters].” Or as Hailie Sahar, whose role as Lulu expands in Season 3, said, “We have shaped Hollywood.”
