Gracie Abrams

Abrams has been releasing music since 2019 but broke through this year with her album “Good Riddance,” which was co-written and produced with the National’s Aaron Dessner. The 24-year-old artist-model also opened a host of shows during Taylor Swift’s Eras tour.

Ice Spice

“I just think people find me relatable, because I look like a regular girl from the Bronx,” 23-yearold Isis Naija Gaston told Variety earlier this year when reflecting on her rapid ascent to the top of the charts in 2023, which includes three additional Grammy noms.

Coco Jones

A Nashville native who acted in Disney films and TV shows as a teenager and now stars in Peacock’s “Bel-air,” Jones put her music career on the front burner with the 2022 release of her debut Def Jam EP, “What I Didn’t Tell You.”

Victoria Monét

With her fresh spin on classic 1970s R&B, Monét tallied seven noms on the strength of her debut album, “Studio II.” She’d previously only been nominated for her work on Ariana Grande’s “Thank U, Next” and Chloe x Halle’s “Do It.”

Fred Again

Another multi-hyphenate who has steadily climbed the dance music ladder in recent years, Fred Again scored in 2023 not only with his own music but also killer collabs with Skrillex and Four Tet, including gigs at Coachella and Madison Square Garden.

Jelly Roll

A rapper-turned-country breakout sensation whose authenticity has forged a fierce bond with his audience, the artist born Jason Deford turned heads with his Nashville debut, “Whitsitt Chapel,” which has already earned multiple CMA and CMT honors.

Noah Kahan

Folk-tinged singer-songwriter sounds are cool again largely thanks to Kahan, whose sizzling hot third album “Stick Season” features Post Malone and Kacey Musgraves. The 27-yearold Vermont native will embark on his biggest tour to date in early January.

The War and Treaty

The husband-and-wife duo has been on the Americana scene for nearly a decade but enjoyed significant new visibility this year with its major-label debut “Lover’s Game” and a guest turn on Zach Bryan’s crossover hit “Hey Driver.”
