A Decorative Holiday
WADDESDON MANOR, ONCE A RENOWNED ENGLISH PARTY HOUSE, DRESSES FOR CHRISTMAS.
Waddesdon Manor, once a renowned English party house, dresses for Christmas.
Queen Victoria visited for dinner in 1890, and was fascinated by the electric lighting—a new invention at the time.
Waddesdon Manor was built as a house for entertaining. Every winter it’s transformed into a Christmas Wonderland. Lightshows, illuminations and light installations outside the manor add to the splendor of the Christmas experience at Waddesdon. In recent years some of the Waddesdon illuminations have been accompanied by music.
