Gary B. Fillers, 74 Chattanoooga

Gary B. Fillers of Chattanooga died Monday, August 20, 2012, in a local hospital. He was 74. He was a member of South Seminole Baptist Church where he served as a deacon. He was a prominent business owner of several companies in Chattanooga beginning in 1963. He was a devoted and loving husband and caregiver for his wife, loving father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He was preceded in death by his great-granddaughter, Chelsea Ava Fillers, and his parents, Elmer and Thelma Moses Fillers. Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Nancy Toomey Fillers; sons, Jeff (Debbie) Fillers, Scott Fillers and Chris (Ginger) Fillers; grandchildren, Brent (Lauren) Fillers, Jason (Sabrina) Fillers, Jessica Fillers, Carman Fillers, Jordan Fillers and John Luke Fillers; brothers, Don, Ron, Tom, and Mark Fillers; sisters, Judy Grammer, Carolyn Turner and Mary Lou Brown; as well as several nieces and nephews. Funeral services: Thursday, August 23, at noon, in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Ron Perry officiating. Burial: Lakewood South Memory Gardens with family serving as pallbearers. Visitation: Wednesday from 4-8 p.m., and Thursday from 10 a.m. until funeral time. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the South Seminole Baptist Church Building Fund, 1201 S.
