GL Alumni Golf Tournament set for this Saturday at Canyon Ridge Golf Club

The 23rd Annual Gordon Lee Alumni Associatio­n and Foundation Golf Tournament will be held Saturday, Sept. 6 at Canyon Ridge Golf Club in Rising Fawn.

The four-person select shot event will begin with a 10 a.m. shotgun start.

Breakfast and lunch will be provided with breakfast beginning at 8:30 a.m. Entry fee is $100 entry fee per player.

The tournament is open to graduates, past students, parents, past and present faculty members and friends of the Chickamaug­a City School System.

Saddle Ridge booster club meeting

The first meeting of the Saddle Ridge Middle School Mustang Athletic Club (MAC) will be held on Sept. 8 at 6 p.m. at the school.

Membership, club officers and a proposed constituti­on will be the topics talked about. The public is inivited.

Parkway Baptist Golf Tournament

The first annual Parkway Baptist Golf Tournament will be held on Tuesday, Sept. 16 at 1 p.m. at Battlefiel­d Golf Club.

A pre-round lunch will be provided by Chick-fil-A.

Entry fee for the fourperson select shot event is $100 per player. Mulligan packages will be available for $20, which includes entry into a putting contest. Sponsorshi­p packages are tax deductible.

East Ridge Night at Finley Stadium

The East Ridge Parks and Recreation Department has joined with the defending Southern Conference Champion Chattanoog­a Mocs foot- ball team to make the evening of Sept. 27 a happening.

The Chattanoog­a Mocs and the East Ridge Scenic City Youth Football League players, coaches and fans are asking you to join them for a 7 p.m. conference game with the Samford Bulldogs at Finley Stadium.

All tickets purchased through the East Ridge Parks and Recreation and its football teams and cheerleade­rs will be only $10 each.

The player or cheerleade­r who sells the most tickets will win a NCAA football signed by Chattanoog­a football coach Russ Huesman.

Dare To Dance tickets available

The 2014 “Dare to Dane” fundraiser for the Kidney Foundation of the Greater Chattanoog­a Area will be held Oct. 11 and Gordon Lee High School alum Amanda Browning will be one of this year’s celebrity contestant­s.

Browning and her partner Kyle Barels will dance in support of the Foundation’s Emergency Utility Assistance Program, which provides financial assistance with utility bills and other things.

The event at 7 p.m. at the Chattanoog­a Convention Center. Browning has currently raised nearly half of her $5,000 goal.
