On Saturday, Nov. 19, the Lady Ramblers were down 12 points to start the fourth quarter, cut the Lady Eagles’ lead down to five, but got no closer.

Megan Wilson had nine points to pace LaFayette, followed by Madison Harris with eight, Nicky Yancy with five, Skylar Oxford with four and Emily Redden and Deshia Dew with three each.

In the tournament finale on Tuesday, the Lady Ramblers got out to a fast start and took a 16-5 lead into the second quarter, but the Lady Bulldogs would trim the deficit to 25-21 by halftime as Trion enjoyed a big free throw advantage in that second period.

The Lady Ramblers extended their advantage to 39-32 with eight minutes remaining, but more foul trouble would doom LaFayette in the final period. Three starters fouled out for the Orange-and-Black as Trion outscored LaFayette in the final period, 16-8, to claim the win.

Megan Wilson had four 3-pointers and finished with 14 points. Harris came up with eight points and seven boards, while Allmon had seven points and five rebounds.

LaFayette will open Region 6-4A play at home this Tuesday night (Nov. 29) against Pickens. The Lady Ramblers will play at Northwest Whitfield on Friday before LFO comes to south Walker County on Saturday afternoon.
