COMMUNITY · Rossville Community Ministries, a ministry of Rossville area churches, is a food pantry stocked with non-perishable food to help families or individuals in the Rossville area. Non-perishable food items, cash donations and volunteers are needed. The Rossville Community Ministries is open Monday, Wednesday and Friday from noon until 3 p.m. They are at First Baptist Church of Rossville, 100 Spring Street. Those coming for the first time should call 706-861-5748 during office hours to find out what is necessary to avail themselves of this service.

COMMUNITY · The Georgia Department of Agriculture will conduct an egg candling class on Tuesday, April 18, 2017 at the Gordon County Agriculture Center in Calhoun. Those interested in obtaining an Egg Candler’s certification through this event should contact the Georgia Department of Agriculture at 770-5355955 to sign up for one of the two-hour training sessions. There is no cost for the training but those selling eggs off the farm are required to have an Egg Candling license/certification.
