Tennant scores first career ace at LaFayette

Brandon Tennant carded his first career holein-one at the LaFayette Golf Course on April 2, holing No. 14 from 150 yards out using an 8-iron.

LaFayette Elks Tournament

The LaFayette Elks Lodge No. 2018 will have its annual Early Bird Scramble on Saturday, April 15 at the LaFayette Golf Course.

The four-person select shot tournament will begin with a shotgun start at 10 a.m. The fee is $85 per player, which includes green fees, carts, prizes for closest to the pin and one banquet dinner ticket. Additional banquet tickets will be $8 per person.

The banquet will be held at the Elks Lodge on Friday, April 14 at 7 p.m. The teams will be posted for public review and a raffle of the teams will begin immediatel­y following dinner.

Participat­ion is limited to the first 120 golfers. All proceeds go to help LaFayette Elks charities.

Camp New Dawn tournament

Camp New Dawn will hold its fifth annual golf tournament on April 29 at the LaFayette Golf Course. The four-person scramble event will begin with lunch at 12 noon, followed by a 1 p.m. shotgun start.

Cash prizes will be awarded for the top teams and prizes will also be awarded for longest drive and closest to the pin. For more informatio­n or to register, call 706-539-2235.

Camp New Dawn is a small Christian camp entering its 20th year of summer camp. All proceeds from the tournament help with operations and in sending disadvanta­ged young people to camp through campership­s.
