GDOL helping Ashton hire 100 lift-truck operators

The Georgia Department of Labor’s (GDOL) LaFayette Career Center will host a recruitment for Ashton Staffing, to hire 100 fulltime lift-truck operators to work at a manufacturing facility in Chattanooga.

The recruitment will be held on Wednesday, April 19, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the career center located at 200 W. Villanow St. in LaFayette.

Due to U.S. Occupational Safety and Health (OSHA) regulations, all applicants must be at least 18 years old. They must also have a valid driver’s license and at least six months of experience driving lift trucks. A high school diploma, or General Education Diploma (GED), is preferred, but not required.

Salaries range from $11.80 to $11.95 an hour.

The company will conduct a criminal background check on selected applicants.
