GDOL helping Ashton hire 100 lift-truck operators

The Georgia Department of Labor’s (GDOL) LaFayette Career Center will host a recruitmen­t for Ashton Staffing, to hire 100 fulltime lift-truck operators to work at a manufactur­ing facility in Chattanoog­a.

The recruitmen­t will be held on Wednesday, April 19, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the career center located at 200 W. Villanow St. in LaFayette.

Due to U.S. Occupation­al Safety and Health (OSHA) regulation­s, all applicants must be at least 18 years old. They must also have a valid driver’s license and at least six months of experience driving lift trucks. A high school diploma, or General Education Diploma (GED), is preferred, but not required.

Salaries range from $11.80 to $11.95 an hour.

The company will conduct a criminal background check on selected applicants.
